«From India, I take with me many things: moments, feelings, experiences… and one big question: When was the last time you did something for the first time?»

GAES IAI Valladolid – India, in collaboration with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation

From the moment I picked up the phone and got the news that I’d be going to India, I knew it would be unforgettable—and I wasn’t wrong.

Fundación GAES Solidaria, together with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation, runs a wonderful project called SPEECH THERAPY. Through this program, children have the opportunity to undergo hearing evaluations, receive hearing aids, get speech therapy support, and receive ongoing follow-up on their fittings. This is AMAZING, because without both foundations, accessing all of this with their own resources would be impossible.

During my time in the project, I can truly say that while I gave everything for them, they made me happier every single day. They made it easy—they were always smiling, eyes full of wonder, shining with the joy of being there and having this opportunity. They are incredible.

From India, I take with me many things: moments, feelings, experiences… and one big question: When was the last time you did something for the first time? I can honestly say that every single day I was there, I did something for the first time—both in my work (even when it might seem routine) and in my free time. And believe me when I say: it was incredible.

THANK YOU GAES SOLIDARIA for giving me the opportunity to live the best experience of my life.
